New research presented by Dr. Cyrus Raji at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago found that eating baked or broiled fish (not fried) increases your brain volume in the hippocampus and frontal lobes. The study followed 250 individuals over a ten year period and looked at fish consumption in correlation with increased brain volume. The individuals who consumed fish had larger brain volumes and that cognitive decline over a five year period was decreased five-fold.

The take away – make baked or broiled fish part of your weekly meal plans.
